弃我去者，昨日之日不可留；
乱我心者，今日之日多烦忧。
长风万里送秋雁，对此可以酣高楼。
蓬莱文章建安骨，中间小谢又清发。
俱怀逸兴壮思飞，欲上青天揽明月。
抽刀断水水更流，举杯销愁愁更愁。
人生在世不称意，明朝散发弄扁舟。


For those days of yesterday that abandoned me none are to keep,
For those days of today that trouble my mind all too much ado;
We may as well get drunk and in this tower fall into sleep
As winds carrying autumnal geese for ten thousand miles goes through.
Yours is Penglai style of the Jian’an character,
And mine that of Younger Xie’s with a refreshing vigor.
Both are endowed with aspirations and mighty thoughts
That would fly up the blue sky for moonshots.
Yet there’s swifter flow by the sword drawn to cut water flow,
And more sorrow from the cup raised to drown sorrow.
If in this world one cannot fulfill his attempt,
Tomorrow he should go boating with hair unkempt.
