OceanGate owned three submersibles. The Cyclops 1 and Titan submersibles were launched and recovered from a dry dock-like "Launch and Recovery Platform" that could be towed behind a commercial vessel. Once the platform and submersible reach the target location, the platform's flotation tanks are flooded and it sinks below the surface turbulence to a depth of 9 m (30 ft). The submersible then lifts off for its underwater mission. Upon the submersible's return to the platform, the flotation tanks are pumped out and the platform can be taken back into tow or brought aboard the host vessel. This allows OceanGate to use vessels without human-rated cranes.[18] The platform is approximately 35 ft (11 m) long and 15 ft (4.6 m) wide and can lift up to 20,000 lb (9,100 kg);[19] it is based on a concept developed by the Hawaii Undersea Research Laboratory.9 z# {0 L8 ~4 a+ W, w

泰坦号下潜到泰坦尼克号残骸附近,去程就要2小时,回程也差不多这个时间,游览观光时间大约3-4小时,肯定要绕着残骸(船长度300多米,断成两截,相距600米以上)以及8*4.8公里的碎片散落带来回溜达着参观游览的。 拖着线缆是不可能做到的。

The cylinder was built in 2017 and cured at 137 °C (279 °F) for 7 days.[29] The entire pressure vessel consisted of two titanium hemispheres, two matching titanium interface rings, and the 142 cm (56 in) internal diameter, 2.4-meter-long (7.9 ft) carbon fiber wound cylinder—the largest such device ever built for use in a crewed submersible.[33] One of the titanium hemispherical end caps was fitted with a 380 mm-diameter (15 in) acrylic window.[29] In addition to the crew compartment, Titan included a landing skid structure and outer glass fiber composite shell, both bolted to the titanium interface rings.[29] Overall, the Titan was 670 cm × 280 cm × 250 cm (22.0 ft × 9.2 ft × 8.2 ft) and weighed 9,525 kg (21,000 lb) with a maximum payload of 685 kg (1,510 lb). It moved at up to 3 kn (5.6 km/h; 3.5 mph) using four electric thrusters, arrayed two horizontal and two vertical. 四台电马达,最大速度是3节。 (深海区域不会有海流,所以游览期间没问题)。 事发区域洋面开阔,100米深度以上大概率有海流的, 海流速度一般都在1-2节左右,下潜结束后上浮过程如果遇到2节的顶流,泰坦号就会很吃力了,肯定需要母船在水面上过来接。

越看资料越觉得胆战心惊,只能说这帮人有钱有闲胆子大
